For the answer to the NUMBER #1 most frequently asked question here--for details or value of a specific older Omega watch you have--go to: Tell Me About My Omega. | Learn more about How To Include Photos and HTML In Your Postings. | To contact someone with a question not relevant to other readers of the forum, please click on their email address and contact them privately. |
It is better to ask the dealers if they are authorized, if not the warranty will not be carried out by Omega. You can try to bargain at local dealers. Go to all the authorized dealers in your area and ask if they can offer a lower price, if one offers a good price, go to another and ask if they can beat it. I haven't come to a decision on which Seamaster to buy (either the 2531.80 or the 2255.80.00) but in Toronto I managed to get a quote of Canadian $900 off regular price from a well known authorized dealer buy doing what I had suggested to you.
Good Luck
