I am not sure what model of Tag Heuer Mr. Ziglar owns, but I have owned an F1 Chronograph for eight years and consider the quality every bit as good as the four Omegas that I own. In fact, the dials and hands are all perfectly aligned (which is more than I can say for half my Omegas). The movement of the F1 is quartz so that comparison is, for me, apple to orange, but the quartz movement has been extremely accurate when compared to atomic clock standards, etc. over an extended period of time. Durability? Never a problem, barely a scratch (everyday watch - even been scuba diving in it) and the crystal is still perfect. Perhaps Tag Heurer has declined since 1993, but I would not have any idea. Yes, the automatic movements are not as good as the Rolex's or Omega's, but for aesthetics, features, weight and durability, I have no reason to think my F1 inferior. Tag Heuers are also cheaper, which was a major factor in deciding on the F1 as my first "nice" watch.
Eric, I, too, like the retro re-issues of the old Heuers. I assume they are automatic movements, but shouldn't bee too inferior to the Omegas. I do know they are fairly expensive, relative to other Tags. I think as far as sporty quartz watches go, you can't beat a Tag. As far as retro watches are concerned, there are not too many choices now days, for decent amounts of money anyway. Just my rambling $0.02.
