Based upon many posts in this and other forums I don't think high discounts are as prevalent in the UK as in the States.
But even here, it depends upon the dealer you go to. Posters have indicated that some dealers such as Bailey, Banks, and Biddle in Florida and California charges list price. Other dealers in various parts of the USA apply a variety of discounts sometimes based upon the customer asking, or an overstocked inventory or competition or a dozen other reasons.
My own authorized dealer gave me a little over 35% off list which came to $1125 plus shipping to my home. The list price here is 1750USD.
You may need to go to more than one dealer, if possible, to get the best price and depending on the dealer you may need to haggle. With some, dealers this won't work. If they can't sell it to you at or near list they wait for the next customer.
