How old is your standard seamaster? my new Seamaster Pro has no symbol, and neither does my friends new Seamaster Pro Titanium. I think that the sapphire is too hard to do this to, and it probably would affect the strength of it, since it can shatter- kind of like how a Rolex Sea Dweller has no magnifying spot for greater crystal strength.
: Just received that America's Cup I had ordered
: from the Shop-NBC TV show. Every method of
: confirming that it's authentic checks out,
: except one...I don't see the Omega Symbol in
: the center of the crystal! My Standard
: Seamaster had it, so I knew what to look
: for, but it's not there.
: I emailed Omega with the serial number to ask
: them to confirm where the watch was
: originally shipped, and to inquire about the
: symbol, and am awaiting an answer from them.
: Meanwhile, I thought I'd ask here...anyone
: know if a watch imported directly from a
: retailer in Switzerland would have NO
: Symbol? The distributor "Swiss Watch
: Intl., Inc." says they ordered it from
: Switzerland and shipped it to Shop-NBC
: before it was forwarded on to me.
: Thanks again,
: AL Ferrara
