You do not need any special tools.
Hold the bracelet (the side that connects to the 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock lugs) between your thumb and index finger near the clasp and gently pull up on the side of the clasp opposite the engraving. It should open right up.
Make sure when you go to close the expansion part of the clasp that you get the flange underneath the bar inside the clasp. See item #8 in the Seamaster FAQ for a photo of incorrect and correct versions of closing the clasp.
