Hi all,

First, thanks to zOwie, Clyde and Neil. The pocket watch was from my grand-grandfather, so I am the 4th generation owning it.

Unfortunately, my grand-father, took apart the movement in the 50's (hard times in Spain) to make a wrist watch. In the process, the hands and the crown were lost. So now I have the movement in a fake case and the original case alone.

My original plan was to get the pocket watch in one original piece, but the estimate cost is quite a lot of money. I am not concerned with resale value, since there are no plans to sale the watch. Plans are to pass the watch from generation to generation, since it is surely the only piece that has been in the family for so long.

That said, there is a part in the estimate that we need, and this is the part of enameling the face and cleaning the case (silver) which accounts for Sfr 1000. I don't think these are so important, and would low the estimate to Sfr 1260 (about $700).
