In the US, a 10-20% discount is common. 25% is good, though there are a rare few authorized dealers that will go as far as 35%. 40% is about the best one can get from an reputable but unauthorized dealer here.

Make sure you know whether the dealer is authorized or not, see if they offer any extensions to the original Omega warranty. Always good to ask around and talk to someone else who has bought from the same dealer--make sure they were satisfied.

My personal preferences are the blue dial/blue bezel Bond version and the white dial GMT. The black ones are okay to me, but still too much like most other diving watches. I prefer something subtly more unique.

Any Seamaster should be fine in the sea. Just remember to rinse it in fresh water afterwards to eliminate sea salt residue.
