The model numbers are not designed to make life simple for you. If you want to compare two models, ask your dealer about them.
Model numbers are designed to have a consistent method of specifying all the model variations internally to Omega and their dealers so that a specific watch--including all options--can be exactly described with a single number series.
Without it, the whole system of ordering watches and parts gets unnecessarily complicated and error prone, because you have numerous ambigiously defined watches and parts.
