If you bought your watch *real* recently, you might see if your dealer will allow you to exchange the watch towards the version on a bracelet. It is always better to buy the watch on the bracelet if you think you'll ever want the bracelet. The watch is usually only $100-150 cheaper on the strap, but a bracelet bought separately usually costs over $400.
Your dealer's quote of $600 seems rather high. If you are in the USA, call Omega Customer Service at 800-456-5354. They can quote you prices over the phone and sell the bracelet directly to you. If Omega quotes you a better prices than your dealer did, then your dealer is trying to rip you off.
