I just purchased the deployment buckle and domed black rubber strap for my SMP 2055.80, just to have as another option; I still like the original Omega "American" bracelet.
Problem: After wearing the deployment buckle for only a few days, the buckle bothered my wrist and the watch did not "sit" in the right spot, regardless of deployment setting. I guess I did not "try" the depl. buckle long enough in the store. I still like the domed rubber strap tremendously.
Questions: Is there a Omega-made traditional buckle that goes with this strap?
Does the current strap have to be modified with a hole to accept the "prong" of a traditional strap?
What about a "loop" that will hold the excess strap in place...the device that keeps the extra strap length from flopping around.
Any ideas or experiences out there?
Thanks,
MMC
