these are both excellent watches, pick based on looks you like and you can't go wrong.
the Seamaster is beefier and is more water resistant (will you go swimming with the watch you chose on?)
the Speedmaster is much more classic looking.
now for watch guy stuff you may or may not care about:
I assume you mean "chronograph" in place of "chronometer" in your original post
Chronograph refers to the watch having a stopwatch function
Chronometer refers to the movement inside the watch having undergone an independant test for accuracy
no speedmasters except for the new split seconds are chronometer certified, that I know of, however my friend has an old speedmaster which is extremely accurate (within specs of a Chronometer)
