First, are you SURE you have the right tool? There are two types.
The black plastic one is really only for *straps*, at the forked end is way to big to fit in the tiny access slot for the bracelet pins. Attempting to use that one will be a disaster.
It is the metal version of the tool has the much finer forked tip needed to handle bracelets.
