For the answer to the NUMBER #1 most frequently asked question here--for details or value of a specific older Omega watch you have--go to: Tell Me About My Omega. | Learn more about How To Include Photos and HTML In Your Postings. | To contact someone with a question not relevant to other readers of the forum, please click on their email address and contact them privately. |
This is my first posting here. After having read endless threads on model info and the like, I beseech the help of the many knowledgeable people in this forum. I'm in the process of making my Omega purchase. I was vacationing in the Cayman Islands when I became hooked and decided there that I would own an Omega. However, I didn't know enough about the watch to make an informed decision. I tried a couple on and I'm going from memory and what I have learned over the past few months.
I'm looking for an Omega with the following characterists. Please tell me if I'm out to lunch here.
Product: Seamaster
Case: steel case
Bracelet: steel bracelet (style like the blowup photo on www.chronocentric/galleries taken by Neil Trotter)
Size: Pro Diver Full Size
Movement: Automatic (of course)
Bezel: Polished steel
Numbers on Bezel: Blue
Dial: Electric Blue
Another thing that I'm not sure about is the bracelet. I can't recall if the one I tried had gold links, like the ones shown at: http://www.laurays.com/omega/seamaster/seawatches.htm
Once again, I'm confident that someone can help clear this up for me. I appreciate your comments. I'm hoping to have my Omega soon as someone from the Caymans will be travelling to Canada in the near future.
P.S. Anyone know where to find good deals in Canada?
Looking forward to reading the threads.
Dan
