Built to last??

I desperately need advice!
I have an Omega SMP chrono diver in titanium.
And I just love it, and I don’t want to wear it everyday, as that will put a lot of wear and tear on it.
So I guess that would make it my dress watch.
But I am looking to buy an OMEGA to wear as my every day 9-5 watch. (I have several beaters.)
I had settled on a speedmaster; but now I am having second thoughts.
The Quality of my seamaster SMP is outstanding and it is I would assume a heavy-duty watch …it feels sturdy.
I am afraid the speedmaster will disappoint me not in quality but durability.
The SMP is a heavy built watch and the speedmaster looks so elegant.
I now am wondering if I should just buy a SMP chrono in stainless steel and not the speedmaster.
I do not have a job were the watch is under any real danger; I just want a watch that can handle the DAILY (every day) abuse. And the seamaster seams to me more suited.
Could someone set me strait?
Thank you,
