Make sure you brush only in perfectly straight lines along the grain of the brushed finish. Do no go in circles or across the grain--this will ruin the finish of the watch.

Always experiment with the Satin Finish Bar on an old steel spoon first. If you cannot get the right effect on the spoon to match the bracelet clasp--then do not even think of touching your watch with it!

The process is actually very simple. But you can really screw up your watch if you are not completely clear on the necessary concepts before you start.

Also, while you are ordering from Frei & Borel, get yourself the correct tools for changing bracelets and straps (get the metal one for bracelets, the black plastic one for straps).
