scratches on crystal

I brought my SMP bond in to have the a bracelet link added and the jeweler returned my watch with several fine scratches on the crystal. I bought my watch from Ashford does anyone know if scratches are under warranty. Also, I have read many messages stating that the sapphire crystal is virtually scratch proof. My Rolex which was struck by a large rock never scratched but my Omega was damaged by a jeweler adding a link. Does anybody else have scratches on their crystal? Am I just asking for more trouble if I have the crystal replaced? The watch is only 8 months old!

scratches on crystal
I'd go back to the jeweler who scratched it!
