Congrats--I bet you are excited!
: Although my 15% reduction may seem meager to
: you guys (in US) it really is about as good
: as it gets over here. I must have been in
Well, the good news is that while you don't have our bigger American dicsounts, neither do you have the bigger, more inflated retail price to start from. So overall, you get about the same 'street price' as we do. They just tweak the numbers differently, because American are more expecting of a deal. In authorized dealers here, an initial discount of 10% is pretty much offered automatically with no necotiation.
: > 50 shops looking at this (and other)
: model. Not many were willing to go to 950,
: and even fewer willing to order me one in
: for that price. No 12 month credit or
: anything... just buying it oughtright!
: At one point I considered FLYING to the US,
: buying a watch at 35% discount, and
: returning home, but that would cost quite a
: bit more than 900, and I wouldn't be
: guaranteed a brand new watch.
: ...Plus I'm not sure how happy these guys would
: be size-ing / servicing my watch after I
: went and bought it elsewhere!
: Well I've got to try to do some work now
: (impossible), but it has helped to post my
: excitement here!
: Ill be sure to get you guys some pictures soon,
: although there will be nothing you've not
: seen before - they may be very high quality
: (grandads negative film scanner)
: Bye for now,
: Nathan
