No. I think you were confusing messages talking about something quite different. Those recent discussions were about scratches on CLASPS! And the recommendation was on waiting until your watch goes in for its next *routine service* to have scratches on the bracelet *clasps* taken care of.

First, try to get the people who did the damage to pay for the replacement. If they do, then go ahead and take care of it immediately.

If they won't, or you waited too long to be able to prove it was their fault, then wait and see if it bugs you. If it does not bug you, no need to spend money fixing something that is not a problem!
