Re: Which Seamaster version to buy?

Its a question of taste and only you can decide.

For myself, while I too admire both versions, I chose the Bond model (skeleton hands). The newer model is definitely more legible especially for my 50+ eyes, but I found the Bond version to be a better all around choice that I could wear equally for work or play. Its a classier looking watch IMO.

The newer version is a bit too sporty looking for work IMO. In addtion, I find the newer bracelet far less interesting looking and unique than that of the Bond watch. Its unlikely the older bracelet style could be confused with another watch. The same can't b said for the new model.

It ultimately comes down to which one you like to look at more on your wrist. To add additional confusion to your choice, check out the white GMT model.
