Even with holiday, two months should be enough time to regulate a new watch. But for voiding the warranty, my local watchmaker would have done this for me in a couple of days, and for less money than the international shipping.
The good news is that apparently someone is working at Omega CH, as they have corresponded with me three (3) separate times during August, and stated that my watch was in the hands of their technicians.
I might guess that the shipping date I was given was conservative. Regardless, I went to the time and expense of sending my SMP to Switzerland because of that service center's reputation for quality service, and not for a quick fix. If I thought that I could get satisfactory warranty service from an authorized service center in the U.S.A., I would have certainly saved myself some time and expense.
