Re: visual quality control?
In Response To: visual quality control? ()

I have (very) recently bought a seamaster pro, and even when I look at the details very closely I find it hard to find a fault. The only thing that is a bit "off" with mine is that the luminescence on the right of the date window actually touches the white square around the window.

The up side to that is that the marker is more obvious at night when its glowing.

I think my bezel matches up exactly with the markers too. When you look at it from the top with one eye closed that is *)

Something that I was very worried about before picking the watch up was whether the second hand was going to line up with the markers. Many watches that I have seen (INC seamaster quartz) have had hands that are obviously out of alignment. To be honest I'm not sure if they line up on my watch, but with it being an automatic, the hand never really stops - so you never notice. Splendid!

I think the one that you saw in the shop windo was a one off error, however I'm quite suprised that the retailer didnt just send it right back off to Omega.

So far my watch is running -3 seconds a day. The good thing is that it always seems to loose 3 seconds, so once I get them to up the rate a smidgin, it should be very accurate.

What is the best method of having the watches rate adjusted anyway?

Thanks,

Nathan
