: It is the Seamaster Titane. It was made in the
: late 1980s and sold around the world.
Thanks Derek, for this invaluable insight. I love this watch - silky smooth and ever so light.

: Keep in mind that ANY Internet source will be a
: gray market dealer. So make sure you apply
: the "trust not only the product, but
: more so the seller" rule when deciding
: where to buy.
I can buy my Seamaster #2551.80 at Sam's Wholesale Club - are they grey market as well?

: No expensive watch is 'well suited' for diving.
: Diving is a risky environment where many
: things can potentially damage or even
: totally ruin a watch. Not only the water
: pressure, but even things like coral or a
: sandy ocean bottom can harm a nice watch.
I only trust my life in the deep to expensive, well engineered equipment. I try to take care of it as I do all my gear, but at 100++ feet, I only want a watch that was made by someone who cared about their work - Omega Seamaster is that watch. I have taken the Titan down with me - gold looks great in blue water!!!
