Can't help with the link removal question, but I'd be interested in the answer, especially if it applied to other brands, such as rolex.
As far as overwinding, no you can't do it to your SMP. As far as I know it is impossible to overwind an automatic watch, there is a mechanism inside to prevent overwinding. A non-automatic watch may be another story. Can a moon watch be overwound?
