No so! The most discussed COSC standard of -4/+6 applies ONLY to full size mechanical movements. Also remember that this standard is actually just the "mean daily rate"--which is just one of the 7 measurements that COSC does. Though the MDR is the most important and easiest for the average Joe to understand.
For smaller ladies sized mechancial movements, the MDR standard is looser (as I remember, it is +/-7).
But for quartz movements, it is MUCH stricter--something like 0.2 seconds per day!
