Re: seamaster pro: auto or quartz
In Response To: seamaster pro: auto or quartz ()

Hi there
a couple of months ago I got a SMP chrono (this comes only in mech).
I would never invest any money in an quartz more than 500$. What you buy in a mechanical, it is the combination of watch case and mechanism itself, which is about 99.99% accurately built.Been an engineer I appreciate this very much as it is so difficult to achieve and adjust.
As you can read in every site about accuracy, any quartz, even 2$ watch can be more accurate than mech.
And of course everyone around me is wearing a quartz. I wanted something different.
If your life really depends on this extra accuracy then you need the quartz, but is it??
Your luck with your choice
BR
Harry
