Hi Brian !
Thank you for your response. I have received a report from Omega which
authenticates the watch, which was produced - not in 1980 as I had been told
but in March, 1968 and shipped to South Africa. I have now bought it in
Swindon. I wonder where it has been on it's travels ? The watch is in mint
condition and (I am told) has been regularly serviced. The winder is
original. I have been advised here that the current trade buy in value would
be about £200 and would be sold on, after a new bracelet had been fitted for
£400-£500. Most important of all, as you rightly say, is whether or not I
like the watch and the answer to that is most certainly YES !

I am very grateful for your input on this matter.

Regards

Norman
