You of course mean "its not worth it now" right?
You know, theres a reason some people pay 10,000.00 American greenbacks for a Daytona. Theres a reason people pay 22,000.00 for a diamond clad Constellation. Theres a reason beyond reason. Watches are highly over-rated kinda like cars, there are so many models - I believe you could compare a Rolex and Omega to Rolls and BMW literally speaking.
I really dont understand people who try to compare these things - hmmm...
: Yes, Iīm convinced Rolex makes high quality
: watches. But Iīm not convinced that a
: 100%"in-house" movement is
: *always* significantly much better than
: e.g., an ETA.
: And IMO, the bracelets of Datejust is slightly
: of higher quality than the submariner, so
: certainly not all Rolex bracelets are
: "bad".
: As I said, if Rolex would "update"
: the good olī submarinerīs bracelet - the
: watch would be more
: interesting and attractive! And If it then
: costed about 2000$, Iīd buy one. But still,
: with no further improvement on/in the watch,
: but only increasing the price anually, It
: must be up to each person to decide to
: purchase or not.
: I personally think itīs not simply worth it.
: Iīm a strict amature, with very little
: knowledge about movements & horology
: etc, but with a big portion of objectivity
: and careful reading of those who own/owned
: Rolex vs own Omega, there is a clear
: majority saying : "itīs not worth
: it" .
: Hence, it is good news Rolex are changing the
: bracelet in some watches in their product
: line. Perhaps theyīve started to pay
: attention to some
: criticism.
: We can only hope they can make some
: improvements on the sub.
: cheers,
: /keo
