On one of my old quartz junky watches with a metal case, where it survived much more than a one meter drop. In fact I threw it as high into the air as I could! the back popped off and the battery fell out, but when i put it back in it still worked. quartz watches are just about indistructable, unless you get them wet. (which was the end of my experiment)
