: But Omega made it so that the watches needed to
: be sold as they left the factory. Swapping
: from a strap to a bracelet at time of
: purchase was at a steep premium over finding
: the watch already on the bracelet.

SeMP on Bracelet is $1750 MSRP + $147 MSRP for the strap + $80 MSRP for the Clasp= $1977 MSRP

SeMP on Strap w/Clasp is $1650 MSRP + $357.50 MSRPfor the new style bracelet = $2007.50 MSRP

I wouldn't consider this a Steep Premium especially considering you can't get the watch from an Authorized Dealer in the US on the new style bracelet. The difference ($30.50) is shrunk even more with a good dealer discount of 35% or so, making the difference only $19.83. Obviously the difference climbs if purchasing the older style bracelet at >$400 MSRP or a Titanium Bracelet for the Speedmaster Pro X-33 at +/-$800 MSRP.

Let's remember. Omega isn't selling us watches. They are selling their Authorized Dealers watches and the retail price is a 100% markup. If Omega makes a Titanium bracelet and charges the Dealers $400 (also the retail cost between the Strap and bracelet models of the X-33), the dealers turn around and mark it up 100% to $800. But the Wholesale price difference between the strap model watch and the bracelet model watch is only $200.
