Price Difference - other changes to this model
In Response To: My question is... ()

Since I posted this, I actually went out to a dealer to look and ask questions.

Their catalog had been updated to show this new model, with the fabulous price of $2695.00....

The bezel insert is not the only difference:

-The markers are outlined with metal (silver) rather than the white...

-The word "Omega" and the Greek letter are applied metal emblems rather than printed on the face...

All together this makes for a fine looking watch. In my opinion it takes some of the "sportiness" away from the bold face, making it more balanced in terms of dress/casual/everyday wear, if you were into that.

HOWEVER...I don't agree with the price. I mean come on, a thousand dollars for some emblems and a thin piece of white gold? So Keith's assessment of Omega just trying to get the prices up is probably right on as well.

Thanks to you both (and me too, I guess). Maybe we can make ourselves feel better by complaining more to each other :)
