Re: GMT Problems?
In Response To: GMT Problems? ()

Has your pastor showm any interest in owning a watch with an automatic movement? It takes a bit more attention to maintain it and ensure its kept wound.

It also won't be as accurate as a quartz movement unless he takes the time to understand the effects of different overnight postioning of the watch.

Its a lovely and generous gift, but your pastor may prefer the simplicity, accuracy and ease of use of a quartz movement. I'm not sure who makes a quartz GMT, but I think Swiss Army does.

: I am considering the purchase of a Seamaster
: GMT for my pastor who travels alot and needs
: a dual-time zone watch thats SIMPLE and
: permits DAY/NIGHT info at a glance.
: I vaguely remember noticing a post aluding to
: "typical GMT problems"!... can
: anyone with any such experience please
: advise for or against such a purchase.

: P.S. He must be able to rely on the watch, long
: stints at the repair facility are not an
: option!

: Thanks in advance
