Wait for 2000 Seamaster models or buy now?

I have been going through the arduous process of deciding which watch will be my first-EVER nice watch. It will probably be a Christmas present to myself. So I had just about decided on the Bond watch (Seamaster Pro Diver) because I liked it the best. But now I hear that the 150th anniversary edition style may be carried over to all the other Pro models in 2000! Should I wait and buy in 2000 or get a Bond watch now? What are the differences/pros and cons of either style?

Thanks!

Life is uncertain. Buy now.

It depends totally on your taste.
