Wow,

Talk about a dressing down! In my defence:

1. I don't wear the watch in the shower any more. You must admit that to the 'man in the street' one would assume that a watch that can be used diving outside a diving bell can be used in the shower. It is only once I found this learned forum that I realised the error of my ways.

2. Yes I am guilty of fiddling with the valve, primarily because I am concerned that it has come loose. I promise you that it has come loose of its own accord some times. Given the number of posts on this list about the valve and whether it leaks I'm sure other people have had this problem too. It seems to have a different and less secure screw down mechanism to the crown (where I have never had this problem). I've just sent the watch for a service at Omega so maybe they will fix the problem (and clean off all the soap scum).

Good to see such an enthuastic and knowledgeable forum, congratulations.
