Re: Seamaster Servicing
In Response To: Seamaster Servicing ()

One month ago I had to take my Watch in for service the internal bezel came loose ( 3rd time ). They sent watch to Omega a second time recently. Well, it took 8 wks to tighten the bezel. When I got watch back I was shocked.... there was a thumb print on the dark blue dial and a large hair under the crystal. Imagine my disappoint - what happened to quality control? If someone looked at the watch you would have seen the thumb print and hair. I contacted Omega and they said send the watch back - my response to them was sure why not and wait another 8 weeks! The jeweler sent to there own watchmaker and they corrected problem. I complained to Omega and never heard from them. I sure these things do occur infrequently, but when they happen to you they are frustrating. I recently traded in my old Seamaster for a new OmegaMatic. I love the watch for several reason: one - it is quartz accurate, and two - in never needs a battery change. Best of both worlds. I didn't let a minor problem with the factory prevent me from buying a nice time piece from a good Company!
