No idea why. Likewise, why is a Rolex Submariner is twice the price of an Omega Seamaster Professional? Why is a solid gold Seamaster Professional cost $13,000 more than the steel model when it value of the gold itself is well under $1,000?
But simple logic and comparison does not apply here. Such pricing issues are based on the manufacturer's perception of their target market for these watches. Some models are priced higher because the manufacturer's want them to be more prestigious and exclusive. So it is not unusual for the relative prices between brands to have no exact correllation to the relative features and quality of the watches.
