I respectfully disagree with Mr. Marskell. I believe it is perfectly possible that the watch was intact before the ice incident and still could have fogged. I had a rolex sub. years ago and I went out in -20F (about -29C) weather in Maine to pack a car one night. The watch had never let in H2O before and never did after. But it fogged up after going from my 70F (21C) house to the outdoors in a few seconds with no gloves and no long sleeves. It "recovered" fully in about an hour after coming indoors. It never ran poorly before or after the incident.

Ice sitting right on the crystal of Mr. Andrew's watch would act as an extremely effective condenser, therefore the fogging.
