Ref: Watches with a good resale value

Ref the section regarding - Watches with a good resale value are a good investment, right?

I was rereading this portion on the zOwie Omega Discussion Forum and it came to me that the Omega's actually held their value better when compared to their initial full market price. First of all I love both watches and others for that matter. I compared my White EXP II and my BLK/BLK SMP.

$3800 new, resell for $2660 (70%), net loss $1140
$1750 new, resell for $875 (50%), net loss $875

I derived at these estimated sell prices based on similar watches selling on the Timezone Sales Corner, Bernard Enterprise and the Watchseller. Assuming that they have been worn/enjoyed and are in Mint condition. This post is of course IMHO, I was curious on your feelings regarding this (right, wrong or totally off base?).

Thanks,
Tom
