Well, If I got enough time, I will try to have a look at manufacture's histore. I don't think it's an Omega, because I don't remember they won something until the new century...
Because of the "hors-concours", I would think of something like a Jaeger-LeCoultre. This term of "hors-concours" means the watch is really much better than the others, so she she can't be compared with the rest of the production...A very special distinction in fact...
Try to send me a photo of this watch, or describe it as welll as possible, and we'll try to thind what it is.
I would advice you to try to open the box and have a look at the mechanism : the manufacture's name must be written on....
