Re: gray market
In Response To: Re: gray market ()

:Here's my take on this:

A few months ago I purchsed a new SMP 2531.80 from an Ebay internet dealer. Before comitting, I called the dealer to ask about the serial #, boxes and paperwork and was assured that it was all there. I got the watch 2 days later and it was all good. I paid $1025.00 incl. S&H

Last month I purchased an Ebel Voyger GMT from another internet dealer. Called and asked the same questions, got the watch in two days as promised and all is well.

Now w/ that said, I realise that these guys could have told me anything and deliverd nothing. But I did my homework by checking out their Ebay reputation, paying by credit card through paypal and at least getting as much info as I can.

Now I don't have a manufactures warranty, but I do have another grand between the two purchases to by my next great watch.

Just one mans opinion.
