: My SMP runs 5 seconds fast consistently every

Well, after 6 months you already know how fast it consitantly runs. Now, I would suggest using nighttime positions. Experiment with: face down, face up, crown left, crown right, 6 o'clock up, and 12 up. one of those positions should either speed the watch up or, slow it down. write down a record of what the watch does every morning. And, if it does not change at all, at least you have a watch that is still in COSC specs. (-4/+6 daily)
Good luck...
