I got this idea of preventing scratches from Omega with the way they ship the watch. They put a little piece of blue plastic on the buckle to prevent showroom scratches. I replaced the blue strip with a strip of 3-M magic tape. The tape is hardly noticeable and easily replaceable when it gets frayed.
