I did not mean to imply there would be 'closeout' type discounts on existing models. I was merely referring to buying the less expensive older models instead of spending what initially was looking like $1,200 (43%) more for the newer versions.

Now that they've backed off the pricing a bit, the newer prices are only 18% more for a tangibly more advanced watch. So for those that like the changes and improvements, this is not distressingly more to pay.
