Don't panic. First, find and read the section on winding the watch for the first time. That may answer some questions. If it was off your wrist for a whole day, when it was not even fully wound in the first place, it may just be under-powered. I would let it wind down completely and "start from scratch". This means winding the watch about 30-ish or more turns and wearing it consistently to see what it is really doing.
