Re: Re Hmmm.
In Response To: Re Hmmm. ()

: Then did you order one from the factory through BB&B because
: you didn't want a display watch, or because they were out?
: They could have gotten one from one of their other stores.
: Personally, I don't know about BB&B. When I went in, the
: guy told me James Bond used to wear the Seamaster Pro
: MID-SIZE, and now he wears a GMT in the new movie (which
: caused confusion on my part, recounted in another thread on
: this forum). When I asked them if I could get one that
: hadn't been sitting in the case by the window with the sun
: beating down on it, the guy looked at his supervisor RIGHT
: IN FRONT OF ME and they shared a smirk. "Yeah,"
: he said, still looking at his supervisor, "we'll get
: you one."

: I ran screaming out of the store.

The salesperson doesn't ever remember carrying the one that I want. I didn't think that a stainless steel Seamaster with a white face was a very exotic request, but I have been told that I am one of 36 people across the nation that wants this watch. Their warehouses don't have this type in stock. So, I have to wait for the next shipment from Switzerland.
