I know how you feel - I scratched my bracelet twice on day 1 - it is partly becuas ethe steel is way too soft. The sheer size of the watch also lends it to easy knocks.

TIP - Since then I stuck the transparent scratch protector used for my Palm PDA screen onto the clasp bit of the bracelt - this has successfully reduced th enumber of scratches and looks invisible almost. It takes a few attempts to pu on neatly and get it to stay, but seems to work.
