damaged watch links

I received an omega seamaster pro "James Bond" midsize version and decided to take it to a jeweller to have it sized. The jeweller comes back and said that he could not get the pins to go back in. As a result, he bent one of them. He also stated that he was unaware of the small bush pins inside. There are numerous scratches on the side of the band. He hands it to me in pieces and said the watch must be defective. How can it be defective when it is brand new? He tells me to take it back to the dealer who sold it. Dealer lives in another state from me. Later I discover two of the small bush pins are missing. ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW I SHOULD HANDLE THIS?
