SeaMCrDiv or SeaMAC Watch

I am planning on purchasing either Seamaster ChronoDiver # 2296.80.00 or Seamaster AC # 2294.50.00. Other than band differences, dial marking, and internal movements (1164 vs 3303) they seen to be the same. Some Omega dealers are telling me the Seamaster ChronoDiver is still current production; and other Omega dealers are saying that this has been replaced with Seamaster America's Cup Chronometer line. Does anyone know if this is True or False, and is Seamaster AC Chronometer the better watch; because of the 3303 movement. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.
