Seamaster Waterproof

One of the Omega watches I inherited has me wondering. Dad purchased it new in the UK in 1961.SS, white dial,silver hands and hash marks, the omega symbol with the word omega. It does not say "swiss made." The back case has, close to the edge, "seamaster" on the top and, "waterproof" on the bottom, not stamped but,looks to be printed on the case. Does this description assist any of you as to its authenticity or otherwise?
