As another follow up, I ended up buying the medium abraisive pad on the website I quoted. [Since I'm in the Bay Area, I went there in person and picked it up].

The medium pad seems to work well for the Omega Seamaster Professional SS. I CAREFULLY buffed out a small scratch in one of the links, and now it looks factory new. Of course, it's alwasys recommend to goto an authorized jeweler, rather than try this at home-although mine turned out fine, I will not be responsible if you mess up yours.....
