Re: worldwatches.com

: How low can the price go for a Omega Seamaster
: Pro 2531.80 (james bond)? If you do know a
: place where the price is really low, (this
: also balances out with quality and trust)
: please tell me. So far, the only place that
: has a low price, and has great quality, is
: Ashford.com.

Suggested Retail $1,750.00
Discount $701.00
Your Cost $1,049.00

However: I'd like to point out their warranty disclaimer, which I've also pasted:

We do not alter any watch but some of our suppliers do remove their identification number to protect their identity from the back of the watch, the back of the watch looks untouched. The reason for it is that Omega prohibits dealers from discounting

You should do just as well, or close, WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER at your local Omega dealer. For a brief overview of what not having serial numbers means, surf by http://www.watchnet.com/crummydeals --Plus, then you'll have someone to hold accountable if the water seals leak, you need the band adjusted, etc.

I paid more for my 2531.80, and am happy that I did. A hundred bucks or so gets soaked up pretty easily in adjusting the band, shipping costs and insurance. The rest (not much, really) amounts to peace of mind.

Good luck. You'll love the watch when you finally get it. Trust me.
